Soprano, and Voice Teacher Pamela Hebert
Born in Los Angeles California, with a Bachelor's Degree in Voice from Indiana University (Bloomington) where she received a scholarship for merit from the Music School & Faculty of Music. Received scholarship & stipend from The American Opera Center(Tito Capobianco,director) The Juilliard School, New York, where she participated in the Maria Callas Master Class.
Ms. Hebert won 1st prize from the Musician'sClub of New York, 2nd prize in the international competition "Villa Manin"( Passsariano di Codroipo), 3rd prize from the New Jersey Opera Company, & a grant from the William Matheus Sullivan Foundation of New York.
Ms. Hebert has interpreted more than 30 leading roles in as many operas, singing with conductors such as James Conlon, Lorin Maazel, Antal Dorati, Bruno Maderno, Franco Ferrara, Jorge Carciofolo, Luis Jzquierdo, Eve Queler, Sarah Caldwell & Stephen Simon.
she sang as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, for the New York City Opera, the Kennedy Center, the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion,the Opera Company of Boston, the Fenice of Venice(italy),& the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza(italy).She has gone on tour in Italy, Germany,France, Greece, the Czech Republic,Finland,Roumania, Austria & Spain.
She has done recordings for the italian RAI (national radio)& is to be heard on the EMI recording of Maria Callas' Master Class at Juilliard as well as of the Interensemble of Padua (Italy).
She has been a member of the juries of several national & international Voice Competitions.
She lives in Italy and has been a tenured voice teacher in the Italian State Music Conservatorys for 30 years. She now lives in Padua, Italy.
